Jen Charters has been a working singer, songwriter and saxophonist in Vancouver for over 10 years. She holds a degree in saxophone performance from the University of British Columbia and is currently finishing her degree in Music Therapy at Capilano University. She specializes in working with children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities, autism, ADHD, addictions and behavioural challenges.
She currently teaches music to at-risk youth at Whytecliff Agile Learning Centre in Langley. As a musician, she has performed across Canada, the US and the UK with acts such as The Paperboys and Shane Koyzcan. Her original projects Red Haven and The Honey Tongues have been recognized by the Canada Council for the Arts, CreativeBC and FACTOR.
